| Iran Did Not Murder Israel, Israel Committed Suicide. |

In this video, Prof. Sachs says, about @ 22:00 +that Israel’s HEGEMONIC PROJECT (based on continued manipulation of abundant USA power) of abandoning morality and attacking everyone close-by brought it into danger. Well, not precisely. Israel’s hegemonic project did not endanger Israel 1947-2025. Iran did not endanger Israel. The USA-Israel 2026 attack on Iran endangered Israel. [1] In the period 1947- 2025, Israel’s hegemonic project was working just fine. During this long period, Israel was “Gengis Khan”. All-powerful. Israel attacked Palestine Lebanon, Sudan, Syria without important reaction. [2] No-one knew that Iran was developing its novel missiles because they did it in secret. But Iran’s development of its new missile technology did not of itself endanger Israel. See [3]. [3] Iran NEVER, NEVER, NEVER started a war probably for several reasons: • morality • international law • memory of the horror of the war with Iraq (1980-1988). • uncertainty as to the effectiveness of their new missiles and underground arrangements • uncertainty as to the secrecy or security of their military preparations, because of Israel’s usually very effective spying system • uncertainty about the survival of the “regime” (w.r.t. popular unrest) in the event of war Iran never attacked anybody. Right up to the 2025 12-day war, right up to the commencement by USA-Israel of the 2026 war. Even today, Iran has responded to attack, but has never initiated a war. Unprovoked, Iran was never a danger to Israel. To summarize, Israel was never in danger from Iran and Israel’s hegemonic project was working well apart from Iran. Iran never attacked Israel through ever-worsening Israeli depredations in Palestine, Lebanon, and especially in Gaza since 10/2023, not even when Ansar Allah (Houthis in Yemen) did attack Israel for reason of solidarity with Palestinians. Solidarity with Palestine was not enough to induce Iran to make war. The USA-Israeli attack of 2025 was not enough to induce Iran to make war. [4] What did endanger Israel, if not Iran? [5] Israel’s commencement of the 2025 12-day war was a turning-point. Until 2025, Iran could not be sure of three things. • It could not be sure that USA-Israel would attack. • It could not be sure that it could repel that attack. • It could not be sure that it (the rulers) could depend on the continuing support of the people even during war. After the USA-Israel attacked Iran in 2025, Iran had no choice but to fight and most of its uncertainties [5] became irrelevant. But even so, it did not commence the 2026 war. Until 2026, Israel’s fate still rested in Israel’s own hands. [6] CONCLUSION: What endangered Israel in 2025-2026 was not Iran. Iran-as-a-target was the “jewel in the crown” of Israel’s hegemonic project, and the 2025-2026 USA-Israeli attacks on Iran were the culmination of that project. Iran did not commit murder. Unknowingly, of course, because Iran’s military preparations were initially secrets, Israel committed suicide. If countries had grave-stones, Israel’s might read “We shot ourselves in the head”. Or “Oops!” AN AFTER-THOUGHT One might say that the USA committed suicide at about the same time, although the USA’s bankruptcy sprang from • many years of fighting vastly expensive wars (Vietnam and those for Israel: Iraq, Libya, maybe Afghanistan, the so-called war-on-terror) • USA’s oligarchic system of governance which encouraged the growth of a (non-patriotic, parasitic) class of oligarchs who refused to be taxed sufficiently (inter alia, to pay for these wars or to do maintenance on the USA’s aging infrastructure) • USA’s (oligarch’s) refusal to develop and maintain a robust manufacturing system in the USA, instead off-shoring manufacturing to China and other countries and thus leaving the USA “naked” when economic competition with China blossomed • USA’s capitalistic system which—as to military preparedness—preferred profits to innovation and failed spectacularly to develop the drones and hypersonic missiles (and re-directional missiles) that Iran (and maybe others) were developing and to develop defenses against the same if possible. All the USA’s military “stuff” is vastly expensive and vastly profitable to the merchants-of-death: (video at 20:30) but don’t inevitably work well in a changing world • USA’s oligarchic, hyper-capitalistic system which brought many political ills to the USA, most recently Biden and Trump If countries had grave-stones, the USA’s might read “Our oligarchs shot us in the head”. |
